This competition rewards a student in each of the four categories: Classical Instrumental, Classical Vocal, Jazz and African Music. The Trust was established by the Rolf-Stephan Nussbaum Foundation for the purpose of providing scholarships, bursaries or awards for students studying for a performance diploma or degree in music.

In order to apply, you must submit/have:
- – Short biography of no more than 300 words
- – Letter of motivation (including career goals and intended use of funds)
- – Proof of registration from the institution you attend
- – Endorsement letter from teacher/lecturer
- – Link to your video submission for the audition
- – Full programme details, including composers, arranger, instrumentation and accompaniment
