Brief Description
Students who completed matric in 2023 and current Tertiary Students are invited to submit applications for the Safripol Community Bursary Scheme for the 2024 academic year.

Study area of focus
- The bursary is open to students intending to pursue or continue tertiary studies during the 2024 academic year.
- Preference will be given to prospective and continuing students in the following fields:
✓ Chemical Engineering
✓ Mechanical Engineering
✓ Electrical Engineering
✓ Instrumentation Engineering
Eligibility and Requirements
Applications are open to current and prospective students residing in the Wentworth, Jacobs and Bluff area, proof of residence will be required.
- Applicants will be required to show proof of enrolment or proof of provisional acceptance to study at an accredited Tertiary Academic Institution during the
2024/2025 academic year. - Applicants must be South African citizens.
- All applicants meeting the above criteria will be evaluated based on their APS (Admission Point Score), current tertiary academic results (where
applicable) and field of study. It is noted that not all applicants who meet the application criteria can be accommodated. - Final funding will be provided once the successful applicants have been accepted at the tertiary academic institution of their choice for the year 2024.
- The awarding of Bursaries will be at the sole discretion of the Safripol Bursary Committee.
- Application forms can be requested via email at [email protected] or collected from the following schools from the 15th of April 2024:

✓ Wentworth Secondary School
✓ Fairvale Secondary School
